How Therapy Services Are Paid For
Medicare often helps cover medically necessary physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech-language pathology services when eligibility and coverage requirements are met. Coverage may be through Original Medicare or a Medicare Advantage plan, depending on the resident’s insurance.
Coverage, copays, deductibles, authorization requirements, and visit limits can vary by plan and by the resident’s clinical needs. FOX Rehabilitation can help verify benefits and determine whether therapy is covered before services begin.
Therapy services are billed separately from assisted living charges and are subject to individual insurance eligibility and plan benefits.
Therapy Support Without Leaving the Community
Having therapy services available inside the community can make it easier for residents to participate in recommended therapy while remaining in a familiar environment. Our team can work with residents, families, and therapy professionals to help coordinate services when a resident is appropriate for therapy.
